Ask ten people for the best boat charter in Turks and Caicos and you’ll get ten answers, because the best boat depends on who’s coming. A couple, a family with toddlers and a group of 20 friends need very different days on the water.
So here are our picks by the kind of day you want. We book 23 private charters here, from 22ft sport boats to a 70ft schooner, and every one is handpicked and verified for safety, service and upkeep. These are the ones we’d book for each occasion, and why.

1. Best overall: the 35ft Luxury Yacht

If you want one answer, it’s this one. The 35ft Luxury Yacht is one of the bestsellers on TCI Experiences because it gets the balance right: room for up to 12, an air-conditioned cabin, a bathroom and a shower, and lunch on every option, from glazed ribs and chicken wings on a half day to a BBQ with lobster in season on the full day.
Champagne, white wine and rum punch are on board, it leaves from Turtle Cove Marina, and you can cancel free up to 24 hours before.
Best overall
2. Best for a milestone: the 62ft Lux Yacht

For a 40th, a 50th or an anniversary, the 62ft is the most complete day on the water. Up to 20 guests, a crew of three, two bathrooms and air-conditioning inside and out. It opens with a bottle of champagne for a toast, a dedicated bartender pours from a full premium bar, and lunch is chosen in advance from a full menu.
Best for a milestone
3. Best for comfort: the 44ft Luxury Catamaran Yacht
New for 2026, the 44ft Luxury Catamaran Yacht rides on two hulls, so it’s wide and steady, with almost none of the roll of a single hull. Up to 20 guests get a shaded flybridge lounge with a grill and wet bar, an air-conditioned cabin and two bathrooms with showers. It’s the boat we’d pick for grandparents, little ones and anyone who likes to feel steady on deck.
Best for comfort
4. Best for sailing: the 65ft Ultra Lux Sailing Cat

Nothing beats the moment the engines cut out and the sails take over. The 65ft Ultra Lux Sailing Cat takes up to 20 on a twin hull so stable that first-time sailors feel at home, with five bathrooms, and freshly prepared food and an open bar of cocktails, beer and wine all day.
Best for sailing
5. Best for families: the 35ft Catamaran

The 35ft Catamaran is a bestseller with families for good reason: shade, a bathroom, a steady twin hull, bow netting for lounging and a Subwing for the confident swimmers. The half day is priced for two, children 4 to 14 pay a lower rate and under-4s ride free, and a typical day takes in a reef, sand dollars at Fort George Cay and the young lemon sharks in the shallows of Half Moon Bay.
Good to know
It doesn’t run on Sundays, and Noah’s Ark, the floating bar, is a wade-in stop at the captain’s discretion rather than a dock.
Best for families
6. Best for couples: the 26ft Regal

For two, you don’t need a big boat, you need the right day. The 26ft Regal runs a three-hour charter priced for two guests, with a bathroom on board and a free shuttle from central Grace Bay and Long Bay resorts. Want something sleeker for a longer afternoon? The 28ft Luxury Boat takes up to six, with bottomless rum punch and a sandwich lunch on its four hours, though there’s no bathroom on board.
Best for couples
7. Best for a party: the 43ft Ultra Luxury Yacht

Plush seating, a premium JL Audio sound system and room for 16: the 43ft is built for a group that wants the music up. On the eight-hour charter, lunch is a beach BBQ with lobster in season, conch, ribs and kebabs.
Best for a party
8. Best for a big group: the 70ft Sailboat

Built by hand in 1992 as a trading rum runner, the 70ft Sailboat takes up to 50 guests with a local crew of three, and local beer, rum punch, rosé and snacks are included. Her four-hour charter includes 12 guests in the price, which makes her one of the best values per person for a big group. For an even bigger group, the Adventure Boat XL takes 70.
Best for a big group
9. Best value for a group of six: the 22ft Sports Cruiser

The 22ft Sports Cruiser’s three-hour charter includes six guests, with a bathroom, sun pads, a sound system and a free shuttle: for a group of six, the lowest price for three hours on the water. The four-hour adds turkey or tuna sandwiches, a fruit plate, chips and salsa.
For just two to four of you, the 22ft Axopar is lower still, with a cooler of beer and rum punch, though it has no bathroom and its sunshade is being repaired, so bring hats.
Best value for a group of six

How we chose
Every pick comes from the boat’s own listing, weighed on six things: what the price covers (the number of guests included, not the capacity), shade and a bathroom, a deck steady enough for the least confident person aboard, what’s served and when, how far the marina is from where you sleep, and the free-cancellation window. The 35ft Luxury Yacht wins overall because it does well on all six: six guests included, a cabin, a shower, a cooked lunch on even the shortest charter and a 24-hour window. Every charter we offer has to meet five-star standards, or we stop offering it.
What actually makes the day
The water does most of the work. The Caicos Cays sit on shallow sand inside a barrier reef, and the tide only moves two to three feet, so the color comes from white sand under clear, shallow water. Visibility is best on the small neap tides between full and new moon, and the turquoise is at its brightest with the sun high, which is why the sandbar is a midday stop and the camera comes out there.
Be honest about what you don’t need a boat for. The Bight Reef, also called Coral Gardens, starts right off the beach at the Bight, Smith’s Reef is a longer shore snorkel a little farther west, both are national park and usually calm, and the best sunsets on the island are from the west-coast beaches by car. A charter earns its money where you can’t walk: the barrier reef more than half a mile off Grace Bay, Half Moon Bay and Iguana Island, the sandbars, the shipwreck and the far cays.
The stops worth prioritizing, by season
- December to April: the busy, dry season. The trade wind blows from the east-southeast at about 10 to 17 knots and winter seas run a little choppier, the water cools to about 78°F by February, and the sun sets a little after 5 pm. Do Half Moon Bay first thing, before the day boats stack up on what was once a quiet sandbar, and from January to March keep an eye on the horizon for humpback whales, never guaranteed.
- May to July: warm water, long days and sunset around 7:30 pm in June. It’s a good season to range farther, to Fort George Cay, where the cannons of a 1790s Loyalist battery now lie in chest-deep water after two centuries of erosion, and the sand dollars on the sandbars beside it. No lobster on any menu until August.
- August to November: hurricane season, with mid-August to September the statistical peak, the water at its warmest at about 85°F and the island at its quietest. Lobster returns to the BBQ boats on August 1. Book early in your stay, so that if the captain calls a day off for weather there’s room for a new date.
- Any season: the National Trust opens the Little Water Cay boardwalk Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 3:30 pm, so a Sunday charter sees the iguanas from the beach rather than the trail.
How to choose between them
Start with the number of guests the price includes, not the capacity: the 70ft Sailboat covers 12 on its four hours, the 35ft Catamaran two, and every extra guest is priced per person on the listing. Then the length: three hours fits one or two stops, four hours two or three, six hours four or five, and the seven- and eight-hour charters five or more. Mornings leave between 8 and 9:30 am on most boats, afternoon half days between 1 and 2 pm.
- Bathroom: most of the fleet has one. The 30ft Catamaran, the 28ft and 37ft Luxury Boats, the 22ft Axopar and the Luxury Watersports Charter don’t.
- Draft: a big yacht can’t get everywhere a small boat can. The 62ft can’t reach the La Famille Express, and the 30ft, 35ft and 41ft catamarans wade in at Noah’s Ark rather than tying up.
- Lunch or snacks: the 35ft Luxury Yacht, the 44ft and the 62ft carry a cooked lunch on every option; the 37ft and 47ft bring fruit, cookies, a dip and sandwiches; the 70ft serves snacks, with an optional picnic lunch at checkout on its five- and six-hour charters.
- Children and Sundays: the 30ft, 35ft and 41ft catamarans price children 4 to 14 lower, under-4s ride free, and none of the three runs on Sundays; the 51ft and 62ft yachts and the 51ft Powercat have a child rate for 3 to 12; everywhere else a child counts as a guest.
- Lobster and the far cays: the eight-hour BBQ boats serve lobster only in season, August 1 to March 31, and on the 22ft Sports Cruiser’s eight hours and the 26ft Regal’s seven you dive for it with the crew and eat it at lunch; the seven- and eight-hour days are the ones that reach the outer cays.
If you book only one, make it the 35ft Luxury Yacht’s four hours: $3,026 all-in for six, about $504 each, with glazed ribs, chicken wings, mac and cheese and a green salad, champagne, white wine and rum punch, an air-conditioned cabin and a shower, from Turtle Cove Marina, with free cancellation up to 24 hours before. Every price on TCI Experiences includes taxes; a deposit secures the boat, each listing shows its own free-cancellation window (24, 48 or 72 hours before, depending on the boat), and most requests are confirmed within a few hours. Guests book a median 11 days ahead, so from mid-December to April book early.
