Choosing a charter at a glance

  • Start with: how many of you, how long, and what you most want to see.
  • Pick your ride: speedboats are fast and sporty, catamarans are stable and roomy, sailboats are pure romance, yachts bring the comfort.
  • Check: the menu for your length, the meeting point, and the free-cancellation window, all on each listing.
  • Price: all-in for your exact group once you pick a date and party. Live prices in the picker below.
  • Peace of mind: every operator is licensed, insured and hand-selected, with licensed captains and certified crew.

Start with your crew

Best for: everyone, before anything else

Headcount narrows the fleet fast. Our smallest boats suit two to six, the mid-size yachts and catamarans eight to twenty, and the biggest boats carry fifty or seventy. Most prices include a set number of guests, so a boat that includes most of your group is often the best value.

How do I choose the right size boat?

Set your party size on two or three listings and compare. Room to move matters as much as seats: shade, a sun pad, a net to lie on. Our large group charters guide covers the big boats.

Each kind of boat makes a different day. A speedboat gets you to the shipwreck and the far cays fastest. A catamaran is stable and roomy, with nets to lounge on, which makes it a family favorite. A sailboat trades speed for the hush of the wind, and a luxury yacht brings air-conditioned cabins, sun pads and a bar.

Is a catamaran or a yacht better for a boat charter?

A catamaran for space and calm, a yacht for comfort and pace. Watersports fans can look for a boat that carries a subwing, which lets you glide underwater behind the boat. Our guide to catamaran, yacht or sailboat goes deeper.

“Food and drinks included” can mean a cooler of beer or a three-course lunch, so read the menu for the length you’re booking. Every listing spells it out, option by option, right down to the drinks. On our top yachts you choose two or three mains and three sides from a comprehensive gourmet menu, sent in at least the day before.

Do boat charters include food?

Every charter includes food and drinks on its options, from fruit and snacks to a full lunch or a beach BBQ, and you can always bring your own. Our charters with lunch guide compares every menu.

Most of our charters leave from Leeward, at the island’s east end, 5 to 15 minutes from Grace Bay. A few leave from Turtle Cove on the north shore, and one from the south coast. Each listing names its meeting point.

Do boat charters pick you up from your hotel?

Some do. Two of our smaller boats run a free shuttle from central Grace Bay and Long Bay resorts, and several boats can collect you from your beach or villa by boat for a fee. Our guide to getting to your charter has the details.

Every charter shows its free-cancellation window, 24, 48 or 72 hours before you go, and you pay a deposit to secure the boat. If the captain or management considers the weather unsafe or too rough, you reschedule or get a refund.

Are boat charters in Turks and Caicos licensed?

Every operator we book is licensed by the TCI Government and Port Authority and fully insured, with licensed captains and certified crew. We’re curated, not crowdsourced: an operator who falls short of five-star standards comes off the site.
